Paris Saint Germain defeated Bastia 3-1 in Paris for the first match of the Ligue 1 schedule for the upcoming weekend.

PSG jumped on the pitch of the Parc des Princes without Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Carlo Ancelotti had surprisingly decided to leave him and Ezequiel Lavezzi in the bench.
Nevertheless, the first chance for the home team came after only four minutes, and the PSG offensive kept Bastia goalkeeper Mickaël Landreau on his feet throughout the entire first half. In spite of the fact that the visiting defense made constant mistakes, PSG remained unable to capitalize and Landreau was quickly becoming the man of the match. Lucas Moura was especially active in keeping his team with 61% of ball possession.

The audience began to chant Ibrahimovic's name, calling for the Swedish striker, but then, ten minutes into the second half, Javier Pastore appeared with an assist to Jeremy Menez (55') who would open the score 1-0. The 2-0 would come from Zlatan Ibrahimovic (71'), who had come in for Gameiro just five minutes earlier. Ibra took a penalty kick after a foul committed against Lucas.

When everything seemed to be definitive Wahbi Kazhri (82’), who had come in for Sambou Yatabare, took a free kick for Bastia and put things 2-1. The visitor's pushed forward coming very close to the tie. But in the last minute, Ezequiel Lavezzi received a cross from Chantome and scored the final 3-1.

With this result, PSG is partially six points above Lyon and remains the sole leader of Ligue 1.
