Current Liga leader Barcelona defeated a 14th ranked Granada  2-1 before almost 22,000 spectators that filled Los Carmenes

The home team fell sujected to Barcelona's usual dominance but displayed great defensive order from the start of the match. During the early minutes, Barcelona attacked insistently but had poor definition and found a well placed Granada that didn't allow them to come to close to the box area. 

Then, in a recovered ball, Odion Ighalo (26') finished off a cross from Nolito to turn the 1-0 for Granada. 

After the goal, Barcelona continued to have posession but lacked depth. Granada, on the other hand, started to believe that it could win and generated better options, almost scoring the second after a defensive mistake from Thiago.

The first minutes of second half would see Lionel Messi 's (49') 300 goal for the blaugrana after a shot from Cesc Fabregas that the Argentine would finish off. Messi, again would score the 2-1 game winner and his 301 in a free kick at the 72nd minute. 

This brings his personal count to 37 goals in the current Liga season and a record 14th consecutive games scoring at least one goal.
