Nine goals in 2013 for FC Barcelona in only two games makes you wonder what record they will break next.

A 'Messi-Less' Barcelona advanced to the quarter finals of the Copa del Rey after beating Cordoba 5 -0. The goal feast was served by a single goal from Thiago Alcantara and double scores for el Guaje Villa and Alexis, who had been in a serious draught since the beginning of the season.

Cordoba didn't have much chance to advance after a home loss in the first leg by two goals that forced them to almost double the score in the game at Camp Nou. This, of course became impossible after the 'blaugranas' took absolute control of the game from minute one and opened the score after only sixteen minutes of play.

The absence of Xavi Hernandez, Pedro, Iniesta, and golden boy Messi, was very much unfelt by this team that seems stronger and more unstoppable day after day.
