Peru took a 2-0 victory over Brazil , eliminating the three-time defending champions from U- 20 South American World Cup qualifying Friday.

Peru (7 points) won Group B , advancing to the Hexagonal round ahead of Uruguay (6 points) and Ecuador (5 points). Brazil (4 points), defending U-20 World Cup champions, finished in last place in the group.

Yordi Reyna 's 24th-minute goal gave Peru the lead and Edison Flores clinched the result, scoring into an empty net after a shot off the post in the 91st minute.

The top four teams in the tournament advance to the finals in Turkey June 21-July 13.
