Atletico Madrid took a 2-0 victory over Levante but lost striker Radamel Falcao to injury early in the second half. Falcao appeared to pull a muscle in his left leg and could be out for three weeks, according to coach Diego Simeone.

Atletico took the lead as Adrian scored in the 32nd minute. Falcao was replaced by Diego Costa in the 59th minute. A minute later, Jorge Resureccion Koke lofted a shot into the far side of the net for a two-goal lead.

Falcao, who has scored 18 goals in La Liga this season, was advancing on goalkeeper Munua when he slowed, then fell down, and left the field.
