Nicolas Lopez scored his tournament-leading fifth goal as Uruguay took a 3-1 victory over Peru in the final round of the U-20 South American World Cup qualifiers Sunday.

Lopez provided the deciding goal, breaking a 1-1 tie in the 68th minute as Uruguay remained unbeaten in the event. Second-half substitute Diego Rolan added an 88th-minute score to ensure the result.

Fabricio Formiliano gave Uruguay the lead in the 13th minute and Yordi Reyna tied the score in the 43rd minute.

Peru lost Jean Deza (27th minute) and Uruguay lost Emiliano Velasquez (33rd) to first half red cards.

Uruguay (2-0-3) is the highest-scoring team in the tournament (13 goals), finishing second to Peru in Group B in the opening round.
